One research group from The Lawnmowers Independent Theatre Company in Gateshead participated in workshops and a performance. Mentored and facilitated by Paul Heritage (academic), Sylvan Baker (academic) and Gary Stewart (contemporary artist), artists with learning disabilities were enabled to engage in public debate exploring themes of visibility and the right to cultural expression.

The performances took place at The Lawnmowers (October 2011) and at a Krokodile Krew Club night (November 2011). Photographic documentation of their process can be seen below.
